Education starts with clear terminology. Say woo-ee to the average person and they have no idea what you are talking about. Any homeowner in or near wildlands should receive a copy of "The Fire Smart Home Handbook." To date, this is the only resource that fully covers preparing for and surviving the threat of wildfire. The material put out by Firewise doesn't give homeowners the information they need to turn concepts into reality. A weekend class only scratches the surface of what people need to know before, during, and after a fire.
